About the Circle of Security Parenting Workshops
All infants develop a relationship attachment with their primary caregivers in the early stages of life. Circle of Security Parenting (COSP) is a program created to provide our caregivers insight into the intuitive nature of our young people when they are keeping safe in their community and how they seek to build a trusting relationship with the important adults in their lives. Our children are innately wired to seek safe connections with trusted others who will keep them safe, help them manage their emotions and feel supported when they go out to explore the big, new world around them.
Do you find it overwhelming trying to meet your child's needs while you are also busy managing both your own and their lives? When you are so busy that you need the day to run smoothly, but your child has different plans, and may even resist your request to follow your lead?
This COSP Workshop is an 8 module program bringing families and caregivers together. Our group of like-minded caregivers support one another, help rediscover their own child intuition and to reflect upon the relationships they had with their own caregivers as children. Revisiting the past can be a challenging experience for many, but with a support network around them, personal growth can be achieved together.
The common goal mutually agreed upon is to break generational trauma by supporting our children to build a safe and connected future with the people they will meet along their life journey.
